In order to offer a CORE education to ALL STUDENTS, our tuition is structured to be affordable to families from across the East Bay area.

As part of our process, we use your application date to establish a timeline for acceptance.

Admissions Process

At CORE Academy, we are aware of the unique challenges you may be facing as parents looking for the best possible education for your child. As a result, we are determined to do our best to learn about your child and their journey to see how we can best support them in the future. Our process may seem arduous, but it is vital in understanding your child in-depth. Each step is important and determined by your special circumstances, therefore we are unable to give an exact timeline for the process. 

Step: 1-

  • Interest Form - see above

  • Meet & Greet / Informational Meeting - call 925.448.2152 to set-up

Step: 2 -

  • Application Packet- sent to you once we receive the interest form

Step: 3 -

  • Shadows Days - Mid February - we will call you to set up

Step: 4 -

  • 1st round - Mid March each year we send out congratulation letters

  • 2nd round - After we receive confirmations, we send out another set of congratulation letters.

  • No unnecessary school rules - we chew gum, sit on bouncy chairs, take breaks when needed

  • Keep children engaged through hands on activities, discussions, group work, etc.

  • Provide strategies they need to be prepared and successful in High School


Emotional Support

  • Life Skills Class - weekly life skills activities- changing a tire, job interviews skills, cooking, etc.

  • Experiential Learning Day- weekly field trips- local food bank, KRON News, Lion’s Center for the Blind  

  • Social Emotional Learning Class (SEL) -weekly discussion and activity lead by Ms. Lainie, our school’s educational therapist. We focus on understanding emotions, communicating needs, building confidence and showing compassion and empathy toward others

  • Safe environment to make mistakes and to try new things

  • Supportive learning programs for children struggling with dyslexia, ADD and other mild learning differences

  • Parent Support- learn about your students learning styles and receive help in finding appropriate and helpful resources

  • Fosters an environment to build meaningful social relationships - quality over quantity

Included in Our tuition

  • Educational psychologist - Dr. Christine

  • Educational Therapy services provided during the day for private sessions or in small groups if needed

  • Parent support/therapy if needed

  • Early drop off and late pick up available (8:00 am - 3:30 pm)
